Public Rule-making Docket

ABD maintains a public rule-making docket (PDF, 50.96 KB, opens in a new window) which lists each anticipated and pending rule-making proceeding. A rule-making proceeding is deemed "anticipated" from the time a draft of proposed rules is distributed for internal discussion within the agency. A rule-making proceeding is "pending" from the time a Notice of Intended Action is published in the Iowa Administrative Bulletin (External link, opens in a new window).

Regulatory Plan

Each state agency is required by Executive Order (External link, opens in a new window) to submit an annual Regulatory Plan detailing rule-making initiatives anticipated during the upcoming fiscal year. The agency's Regulatory Plan must also be posted to the agency's website by August 1 of each year.

ABD's Fiscal Year 2023 Regulatory Plan can be found here (PDF, 126.8KB, opens in a new window).
