Friday, April 21, 2017

Christine Spratt, General Manager and Vice-President of Golden Eagle Distributors in Mount Pleasant, has been appointed to the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Commission by Governor Terry E. Branstad. The appointment has been approved by the Iowa State Senate and Spratt will begin her term May 1, 2017.

“I am honored to be appointed to this commission,” Spratt said. “As the daughter of a beer distributor, I’ve spent my entire life in this industry and look forward to doing what I can to ensure Iowa’s beverage alcohol industry is successful.”

Spratt is a native of Hannibal, Missouri and currently resides in Burlington with her husband and young daughter.

As the beverage alcohol industry in the state continues to evolve and grow, the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Commission will be involved in the ongoing effort to study laws and policies to ensure their regulatory effectiveness.

“Crissy’s experience and insight into this industry will be a great asset for the Commission,” said Stephen Larson, Administrator of the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division. “She is eager to get involved in helping to shape the industry’s future in this state.”

Spratt’s term will run until May, 2022 and she will be eligible for another five year term at that time.
