Wilson to Head Alcoholic Beverages Commission

Jay Wilson, Assistant to the Vice President of Spirits with Hy-Vee, was elected as Chairperson of the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Commission Thursday, June 23. He succeeds Tami Doll and will serve one year as Chairperson.

Other officers elected at the meeting are Gary Nystrom, Vice-Chairperson and Rachel Eubank, Secretary.

The Iowa Alcoholic Beverage Commission oversees the operations of the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division and provides insight and advice regarding policy and business decisions. Commissioners are appointed by the Governor and must be approved by the Iowa Senate. Commissioners serve five-year terms with the possibility of being reappointed for a second, five-year term.
