Pauli Joins Alcoholic Beverages Commission

John Pauli, a Senior Project Engineer with Pella Corporation, has been appointed to the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Commission by Governor Terry E. Branstad. The appointment has been approved by the Iowa State Senate and Pauli began his term May 1, 2016.

Pauli is a Carroll, Iowa resident and has been a part of Pella’s Carroll operations for 30 years, primarily in that company’s ProLine windows and doors division.

“As an amateur wine maker with a small vineyard, I have a natural interest in this industry,” Pauli said. “I hope to support and protect consumers and the alcohol beverages industry by being a part of the Alcoholic Beverages Commission.”

Pauli’s term will run until May, 2021. As he joins the Commission, the alcoholic beverages industry in Iowa continues to grow and diversify, with a steady increase of native and craft manufacturers as well as a changing marketplace being driven by savvy new consumers.

“John’s background and experience as a local leader will be a tremendous addition to the Commission,” said Administrator Stephen Larson. “We all benefit from an engaged and focused commission and I know that John will do his best to fill that role.”

A graduate of Drake University (MBA) and the University of Wisconsin at Platteville, Pauli is an active community leader with the Carroll County Conservation Board, Ducks Unlimited and is a STEM advisor with Carroll Community Schools. He is also the trapshooting coach for Carroll County Shooting Stars.
