Eubank Joins Alcoholic Beverages Commission
Des Moines business woman Rachel Eubank has been appointed by Governor Terry E. Branstad to the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Commission. The Iowa State Senate confirmed the appointment and Eubank begins her five-year term May 1, 2015.
Eubank, a Des Moines native, is President of Sticks, Inc., a manufacturer of handmade home accessories and furniture.
“I am honored to be selected for this important opportunity,” Eubank said. “The alcoholic beverages industry is very dynamic and it’s exciting to be a part of it.”
During her first year, the Commission will be focused on addressing the needs of an ever changing marketplace and if policy changes should be considered by the Legislature.
“I have no doubt that Rachel will bring valuable business experience to the Commission as it looks to the future,” said Alcoholic Beverages Division Administrator Stephen Larson. “I’m very pleased that she will be serving on the Commission.
A graduate of the University of Iowa, Eubank hopes to apply her business savvy and volunteer experience with a diversity of central Iowa organizations to her new role and is confident that her background is well suited for providing the Alcoholic Beverages Division with insight and leadership as that agency regulates an evolving culture.
