The Alcoholic Beverages Division’s strategic plan for FY 2022 – 2024 defines a roadmap for continuous improvement, and an organizational strategy that serves as our guide. Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years 2022-2024 Key Strategic Initiatives Identify ways to increase service to Iowa businesses by demonstrating ongoing improvement in the distribution of spirits and brand inventory management. Expanding upon our partnership with the Iowa Department of Revenue’s GovConnect Iowa. Utilize information technology in licensing platforms, data analytics, operational metrics, and data management to enhance licensure, wholesaling, governance, and education. Partner with other executive branch agencies and outside stakeholders to share resources to ease the burden of acquiring a license and the payment of beer and wine excise taxes. Detect and address tax that are under-reported. Modernize rules and regulations to align with the Governor’s goals of economic recovery and obligations creating a competitive business environment. This plan strives to better serve our customers and the citizens of Iowa, meet the demands of an ever-evolving alcoholic beverages marketplace, and balance the three-tier system of alcohol with public health and safety for Iowa communities.
